Training Policy
The Directors of Philip Steele Building Equipment Ltd, recognise that staff, are the life blood of the company. Their training and competence is of paramount importance, in accordance with this philosophy, annually the company sponsors a considerable and growing amount of training. It is the policy of Philip Steele Building Equipment Ltd to encourage all staff to adopt a positive attitude towards continuous improvement. The company is committed to providing the training necessary for employees to do their job and improve their skill and ability. The CITB provide specialist training schemes for scaffolders, which we make full use of in the qualifying of our workforce. Every year the company recruit a growing number of apprentices in partnership with the CITB. Together with our experienced and qualified staff, they train both on the job and at college for up to 3 years, resulting in an NVQ2 and mainly also a NVQ3 advanced level scaffolding. Existing, experienced and able scaffolders are also sponsored by the company to achieve formal CITB accreditation, via the Assessed route and now more often the adult training route. Currently 75% of our operative and management staff hold CISRS/CSCS cards, we are currently working towards the 100% figure and expect to achieve this in the very near future.
